Aidan closed his eyes and pressed the heel of his palm against his forehead.
“Hey, are you all right?” she asked.
The gentle caress of her voice was almost as deadly as the
fair touch of her fingertips to his wrist. His blood steamed under his skin,
tinder threatening to burn with an ache so deep he’d forgotten what it felt
like. So long he’d gone without a woman in his life, in his bed. Perhaps this
was his body’s way of saying 'get on with
it'.
