Today I called the cable company and cut my cable service to basic. I had thought to cut it out altogether, but I kinda think I'd like to watch the news once in a while. So as of Wednesday, February 9th, I will officially be without expanded cable. This will be good since there are only 4 or 5 shows that I HAVE to watch and they're on the basic channels. I kept my internet up to full speed, but also cut down my land line phone service. I didn't want to give away the number completely just yet.
This is a decision I've been toying with for some time. It started out as a way to save money, but the more I thought about it and kept track of how much time I waste in front of the "idiot box" as my grandmother used to call it, I started to realize how much of a positive change this could be. Stay tuned in the coming weeks to find out how it's going!

ReplyDeleteThanks! I got ready for dinner and realized how much time I'd wasted today. Since I didn't have a sub job I should've gotten a lot more writing done. Then I went to the gym and had planned to write like a fiend when I got back. Yeah, I'm sitting here watching Criminal Minds and Rizzoli & Isles. I'm still writing, just not as much as I should/could be!
